The Houston Sting topped the Eugene Emeralds, 6-1, in Donnie Moore League action at Woodland Park. The player of the game was Houston pitcher Brian Christ. Ed Gratton converted his 2nd save in 6 tries. The Sting bumped their record to 84-68 with this latest triumph.
Alex Carbajo was a key contributor to the win for the Sting. In the bottom of the third with no one out, the light-hitting center fielder stroked a double to left-center. He went 2-5 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
In comments to the Houston Bulletin, Carbajo insisted that he's not as disinterested as it often appears. "Haters will hate," he added.
