The Winfield Warriors relied on the hitting of shortstop Steve Houston to stop the Boise Bloodhounds, 7-2. For the game, Houston was 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Chris Wilson got credit for the win, improving to 2-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 4 innings. The Warriors saw their win-loss record go to 62-84. At the same time, the Bloodhounds fell to 61-89.
