The Bethesda Hornets and St. Petersburg Pelicans completed their game despite the inclement weather.

The St. Petersburg Pelicans got a sterling performance from pitcher Kevin Bongarzone, but the Hornets still prevailed, 6-2. Bongarzone was named the player of the game in a losing cause. He threw 5 innings allowing 2 runs. Bethesda is now riding a 4-game win streak.

Bethesda took a 4-2 lead in the bottom of the seventh inning. With no one out, second baseman Connor Buckland hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Bethesda manager Francisco Solano.
