Mustangs Get One-Run Win at St. Paul
|
The San Angelo Mustangs did just enough to sneak past the St. Paul Saints, 4-3, at Saints Ballpark. San Angelo pitcher Kunio Otsuka earned player of the game honors. Otsuka, now 15-8, was the winner. In 6.2 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 4, walking 4, and allowing 3 earned runs. With the win, the Mustangs have a record of 86-60.
Reynaldo Munoz, who is tied for 10th in the BOL in bases on balls with 67, aided the San Angelo cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the sixth. For the game, the center fielder went 1 for 2 with a double and a walk, while adding 2 RBI.
