Mustangs Solve Saints, 4-3
|
San Angelo catcher Antonio Santana was a significant contributor in his team's 4-3 triumph over the St. Paul Saints. He went 2-4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for San Angelo. Jim Padjen got the save, his 25th in 31 chances. The Mustangs bumped their record to 85-60 with this latest triumph.
Santana had a game-changing home run in the top of the sixth. On a 1-2 sinker from Ruben Fernandez, he banged a 2-run home run to right, giving the Mustangs a 4-3 lead. It was the 16th home run of the year for Santana.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Santana.
