Lake Monsters Continue Hot Streak with Extra-Inning Win
Boise got a terrific game from shortstop Ed Villegas. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Okanagan, 7-6. Villegas was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 3 for 5 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The first-place Lake Monsters have won 8 in a row.

Late-game drama came in the top of the ninth inning. With no one out and a runner on 1st, the batter, Miguel Delcueto, hit a single. It helped Okanagan seize the win.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Delcueto told the Okanagan Times.
