Hornets Come Back Late to Top Tornadoes
The Eureka Hornets defeated the Kansas City Tornadoes, 6-5. Earning player of the game honors was left fielder Ross Stephenson, who was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Elliott Rogers notched his 17th save in 21 chances. The Hornets bumped their record to 35-29 with this latest triumph.

Eureka took a 6-5 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With no one out, left fielder Juan González hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," González told the Eureka Gazette.
