Mustangs Lose, 6-3, at Prefontaine Park

The Eugene Emeralds got a rain-soaked win over the San Angelo Mustangs at Prefontaine Park.
The Eugene Emeralds topped the San Angelo Mustangs, 6-3, in Donnie Moore League action at Prefontaine Park. The player of the game was Eugene pitcher and Clinton, Utah native Tommy Montgomery. The winning pitcher was Montgomery, now 13-8. He tossed 5 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 8. Roberto Delaluz, credited with the save, is now 6 for 9 in save opportunities.
Carlos Hernández aided the Eugene cause with a 2-run single in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the third baseman went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Hernández, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
The Emeralds now have a record of 71-72.
