The Brisbane Bush Wackers powered past the Kingwood Knights, 8-4, at Baylor Ballpark. Mario de Leon went 4 for 5 with a triple, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times and drove in 3, to lead the charge. Brisbane reliever Jason Adams was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Danny Zomosa took the loss. The Bush Wackers own a robust 91-52 mark.
de Leon came through with some timely hitting for Brisbane. With the score 3-3 in the bottom of the fourth and one down, de Leon hit a first pitch fastball for a bases-clearing triple. His 4th triple of the season made it 6-3, Brisbane.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said de Leon.
