Hornets Win at Georgia, 7-2
|
The Eureka Hornets topped the Georgia Grays by the score of 7-2, with the biggest share of the credit going to shortstop Roberto Santiso. Santiso went 3-5 with a triple and a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once for the Hornets on the day. Eureka reliever Barend Bilderbeek picked up the win to move to 2-0. José Berrios suffered the loss. Eureka, now 5-3, has played well in the early going.
Wayne Ford, who was drafted in the three round of the 2030 draft, aided the Eureka cause with a 2-run home run in the top of the first. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Santiso.
