Road Warriors Lose, 6-4, at The Pond
A 4-RBI performance from left fielder Aaron Richters led the Nichols Gnats to a 6-4 win over the Westside Road Warriors. Vince Johnson was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 25 of 27 save opportunities. Even with the win, the Gnats have a dismal 47-92 record.

Richters contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Nichols in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 4-2, Richters took a splitter from Ruud ten Napel and stroked the home run to left. His 8th home run of the season allowed the Gnats to leap in front, 5-4.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Nichols manager Reese O'Higgins.
