Jedi Knights Reel Off Another Win
|
It was a fun time at The Republic, where the Kingwood Knights and New Orleans Jedi Knights tangled.
George McCurry pitched a gem to lead New Orleans to a 9-1 victory over the Kingwood Knights. New Orleans reliever Dave Barrett picked up the win, upping his record to 8-0. Yoshizo Kanemura shouldered the loss.
Matthew Rogers, who is tied for 7th in the BOL in home runs with 22, aided the New Orleans cause with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the second. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once.
"There's a lot of good karma around our club," said winning manager Mason Eilers.
The third-place Jedi Knights now have a 6-game winning streak.
