Sting Walk It Off for 77th Win of Season
The Houston Sting did just enough to secure a 4-3 victory over the Stroudsburg Shade at Woodland Park. Nobody did more than pitcher Gabriel Núñez, who captured player of the game honors. Houston reliever Ed Gratton picked up the win, upping his record to 3-3. Vinny Caballero shouldered the loss. The Sting bumped their record to 77-62 with this latest triumph.

Houston won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and Vinny Caballero on the mound for Stroudsburg, center fielder Cliff Berk hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Sting fans to their feet.

"There's no quit in this team," said Sting manager Héctor Flores.
