Jedi Knights Solve Knights, 6-5
|
New Orleans center fielder Mark Raffaelli was a significant contributor in his team's 6-5 triumph over the Kingwood Knights. He went 3-3 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for New Orleans. New Orleans reliever José Martínez was the winner. His record is now 4-9. Jonathan Woodward took the loss. Rich Owen notched his 27th save in 32 chances.
Had David Eitel not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Eitel hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 6-5, in favor of the Jedi Knights.
"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Eitel.
New Orleans has now won 5 games in a row.
