Black Squirrels Solve Frosties, 5-3

The Nut House was the site of a competitive game between the Barrow Frosties and Tree City Black Squirrels.
The Tree City Black Squirrels downed the Barrow Frosties, 5-3, at The Nut House. Brian Briggs led the way, going 1-for-1 for Tree City. Tree City reliever Chion Hatanaka was the winner. His record is now 5-3. Cole Slowikowski took the loss. Cory Kieck notched his 37th save in 42 chances.
Briggs had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 2-1 fastball from Cole Slowikowski, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Black Squirrels a 5-3 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Briggs.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Briggs said.
The Black Squirrels bumped their record to 71-65 with this latest triumph.
