Jedi Knights Use Late-Game Magic to Beat Knights
|
New Orleans beat Kingwood in a rain-soaked ballgame.
The New Orleans Jedi Knights picked up a win at The Republic, knocking off the Kingwood Knights, 4-3. Starting pitcher Jonathan Pickard played a key role in the triumph. New Orleans reliever Rich Owen was the winner. His record is now 9-10. The losing pitcher was Shiki Murata.
Matt Sullivan was the walk-off hero for New Orleans. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Jedi Knights right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring double to send the teams home.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Sullivan said.
New Orleans has now won 4 games in a row.
