Davis Helps Pelicans Run Win Streak to 3
|
The St. Petersburg Pelicans grabbed a 8-4 win over the Eugene Emeralds at Prefontaine Park. St. Petersburg shortstop Brad Davis was 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 4 to earn player of the game honors. Kevin Bongarzone got credit for the win, improving to 6-5. He allowed 2 runs on 5 hits in 6 innings. St. Petersburg has now won 3 straight, while the Emeralds have lost 3 in a row.
Larry Castillo aided the St. Petersburg cause with a 2-run double in the top of the second. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
