Murphy Goes Distance in 9-1 Win
The Victoria Vikings went home winners at Stable Park, thanks in large part to starter Kevin Murphy. Murphy silenced the Kingwood Knights, enabling Victoria to grab the 9-1 win. The first-place Vikings, at 82-54, now lead their division by 4 games.

Murphy, who is tied for 6th in the BOL in innings pitched with 175.1, pitched a complete game for Victoria. Murphy surrendered 5 hits over 9 innings and struck out 6. With the win, he moves to 10-11 on the season.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Murphy said.
