Super Swinger -- Cameron Slams 5 Hits
|
Players get multi-hit games all the time, but 5-hit games are something else entirely. Amari Cameron walloped 5 hits in 5 at-bats for the Bel Air Princes in a career day at Philip Banks Field today, but it was the West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws who won the ballgame, 10-5.
"My swing was really, really there today," Cameron said afterward. "I made some good, solid contact and when that happens, good things happen. And hey, 5-for-5 and losing is better than 0-for-5 and losing, right?"
Amari Cameron doubled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Cameron is hitting .260 so far this season with 56 RBIs and 56 runs scored. He has 103 hits including 12 home runs, 44 walks and .339 OBP.
