|
Eugene pitcher Francisco Bibian did his part in helping his team beat the Palm Beach Bums, 6-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Bibian, the winner, moves to 8-11. He threw 7 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 4 walks. The Emeralds bumped their record to 68-66 with this latest triumph.
Tal-hun Kug, who is tied for 8th in the AHL in RBI with 67, aided the Eugene cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder went 2 for 5 with 2 singles.
"One win at a time, one game at a time. We try not to get too far ahead of ourselves," Bibian told the Eugene Gazette.
