Frosties Bang Out 6-3 Win Versus Bethesda
|
Barrow starter Fidel Betancourt pitched effectively against the Bethesda Hornets at Hornets Field. The right-hander led his team to a 6-3 win. Marco Cruz was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 11 of 12 save opportunities. Barrow has now won 4 games in a row.
Barrow used the timely hitting of Stanford Ploughman to capture the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the seventh inning to put the Frosties on top, 5-3. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but he made it count.
"That's the key at this level, throwing strike one," said Betancourt. "Successful pitchers do it."
