Frosties Prevail, 5-3, Over Winfield
|
Barrow left fielder Brian Douglas played a vital role in his team's 5-3 triumph over Winfield. He went 2-5 with 2 home runs for Barrow. The win was credited to Dale Loder in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Daniel Santiago took the loss. Barrow is now riding a 3-game win streak.
Douglas had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a first pitch fastball from Daniel Santiago, he banged a solo home run to right, giving the Frosties a 4-3 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Douglas.
"I was able to barrel up some pitches," said Douglas.
