The Eugene Emeralds topped the Kingwood Knights, 8-5, in Donnie Moore League action at Prefontaine Park. The player of the game was Eugene pitcher and Libertad, Costa Rica native Cristo Cruz. Eugene is now riding a 5-game win streak.

Curt Mayle was the walk-off hero for Eugene. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Emeralds shortstop hit a dramatic 3-run home run to send the teams home.
