Lake Monsters Prevail, 4-3, Over Bel Air
|
Despite a great performance by Bel Air third baseman Mike Flowers, the Okanagan Lake Monsters defeated the Princes by the score of 4-3 at Philip Banks Field. Flowers went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while adding 3 RBI. The Lake Monsters bumped their record to 82-48 with this latest triumph.
Emanuel Torres was 2 for 3 with a triple and a double for Okanagan. The 20-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 3-3 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Chris Corey. It was his 85th RBI of the season.
Torres called the win "a collective effort."
