Tree City left fielder Brian Briggs made his presence felt in the 12-11 Black Squirrels triumph over the Boise Bloodhounds. Briggs went 4 for 5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles, while scoring 4 runs and driving in 2. Tree City reliever Francis Luck was the winner. His record is now 6-3. Jesus Sanchez took the loss. The Black Squirrels bumped their record to 68-62 with this latest triumph.

Roberto Coronado aided the Tree City cause with a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh. For the game, the pinch hitter drove in one run.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Briggs told reporters after the game.
