St. Petersburg pitcher Eddy Johnston did his part in helping his team beat the Kingwood Knights, 4-2. The left-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Jaiden Harris got the save, his 28th in 32 chances. The win boosts the Pelicans to 58-70. The loss puts the Knights at 60-70.

Had Daniel Harris not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 2nd, Harris hit a 2-run double. That made the score 4-2, in favor of the Pelicans.

"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Harris said.
