In a well-pitched game between the Brisbane Bush Wackers and the Okanagan Lake Monsters, pitcher Jose Artola was superb. The Brisbane right-hander was named the player of the game in Brisbane's 1-0 win. Brisbane is now 85-44, 13˝ games up in the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division.

Brent Merendino did the little things right to help the team for Brisbane. The 21-year old center fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the third. With no one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Roger Stewart. It was his 21st RBI of the season.

"There was no wiggle room in this one," said Merendino.
