Okanagan withstood an impressive performance by Brisbane right fielder Hiroshi Kono to defeat the Bush Wackers, 9-7, at Elks Stadium. Kono was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Jeff Kent notched his 20th save in 24 chances. Okanagan goes to 81-45. The win puts them 8½ games up in their division.
