Shade Come Up Short at Barrow
|
Behind the bravura of designated hitter Myles Aucoin, the Barrow Frosties topped the Stroudsburg Shade by the score of 6-5. Aucoin went 3-4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Frosties. At 64-63, the Frosties are currently third in the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division.
The Frosties got a big at-bat from catcher Leen Boer. For the game, Boer was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 14th hit of the season gave Barrow a 6-5 lead.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Boer told the Barrow Chronicle.
