San Angelo and Victoria duked it out at The drakkar and the Mustangs came out victorious.

San Angelo Mustangs starter Oscar Mata was in fine form against the Victoria Vikings at The drakkar, leading his team to a 4-1 win. Mata went 8 innings to notch the win. He scattered 9 hits, walked 0, and struck out 6. His record improves to 15-4.

Freddy Ramos, who is tied for 4th in the BOL in triples with 7, aided the San Angelo cause with a run-scoring triple in the top of the fourth. For the game, the shortstop went 2 for 4 with a triple and a double.

Despite the victory, Mata was prickly with assembled media after the game. He said only that he was "happy with the win."
