Princes Raise Rally Flag, Beat Houston, 4-3
|
The Bel Air Princes defeated the Houston Sting, 4-3, at Philip Banks Field. Bel Air first baseman Aaron Kelch was named player of the game for his superb performance. He was 4-4 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 times. Bel Air reliever Toru Saito was credited with the win, to go to 5-6. Gabriel Núñez took the loss for Houston. John Balis converted his 1st save in 1 tries.
Roberto Villa drove in one run for Bel Air. The 19-year old third baseman had a key at-bat in the bottom of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Gabriel Núñez. It was his 19th RBI of the season.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Villa told the Bel Air Herald.
The Princes raised their record to 48-76.
