The Vancouver Pioneers picked up a win at "The Fort" at B.C. Place, knocking off the South Carolina Bombers, 5-1. Starting pitcher Tony Velázquez played a key role in the triumph. Vancouver has a 6-game win streak, while South Carolina has lost 4 in a row.
Tofeeq Kuchis, who is tied for 4th in the TML in hits with 79, aided the Vancouver cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the shortstop was 2-4 with 2 singles.
