Vikings Rally For Late Win Over Bloodhounds
The Victoria Vikings beat the Boise Bloodhounds, 9-7, at Grand Canyon Valley Park. The win was largely due to the efforts of catcher Morgan Kowalkowski, who captured player of the game honors. He went 3-4 with 3 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Victoria reliever Jorge Ortega was the winner. His record is now 5-5. The losing pitcher was Jason Loer. Jean-François Blot was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 6 save opportunities.

This game was not decided until late. With two out in the top of the ninth, Scott Corkum drew a walk, driving in 1 run. The Vikings took the lead, 8-7.

"We're stringing together some nice wins," said Victoria manager Bernardo Moreno.
