Dominant Performance by Artola in Brisbane Win
|
Baylor Ballpark was the site of a competitive game between the Stroudsburg Shade and Brisbane Bush Wackers.
The Brisbane Bush Wackers got a magnificent performance from pitcher Jose Artola, who stifled the Stroudsburg offense en route to a 2-0 Bush Wackers win at Baylor Ballpark. Aaron Lyons got the save, his 25th in 32 chances.
Artola was in the zone all game. He frustrated Stroudsburg hitters while giving the Bush Wackers 7.1 innings of quality work. Artola threw 103 pitches, allowing 4 hits and getting 10 punchouts.
"It feels good to get this one," Artola told the Brisbane Observer.
The first-place Bush Wackers, at 81-42, now lead their division by 11½ games.
