St. Paul beat Okanagan at Saints Ballpark, escaping with a 5-4 win. The win in large part was due to right fielder Vinny Tarin, who earned player of the game honors. He was 1-1 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. John Benefield was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 27 of 33 save opportunities. The Saints bumped their record to 64-57 with this latest triumph.

Tarin had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 1-1 cutter from Juan López, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Saints a 5-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Tarin.

"We take it day by day here," said Tarin, "and today was a good one for us."
