Bill Corrales helped his team muscle past the Barrow Frosties, 5-3. In the game, the West Virginia center fielder went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. West Virginia reliever Takeo Takano picked up the win, upping his record to 8-9. Andy Fitzpatrick was saddled with the loss. Kenny Moran notched his 36th save in 38 chances.

Corrales had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 1-0 curveball from Andy Fitzpatrick, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Dancin' Outlaws a 5-3 lead. It was the 5th home run of the year for Corrales.

Corrales attributed the win to "energy and focus on the part of everyone."

West Virginia is now 67-51, Barrow 62-61.
