Rhinos Turn Back So Cal, 5-3

The Rubber City Rhinos picked up a win at House of the Republic, knocking off the So Cal Republic, 5-3. Starting pitcher Vincent Vickers played a key role in the triumph. The Rhinos own a robust 41-20 mark.
The Rhinos got a big at-bat from first baseman Pete Bell. For the game, Bell went 1 for 3 with a walk. In the top of the third, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 46th hit of the season gave Rubber City a 1-0 lead.
"We put it together today and came out with the win," Vickers said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
