Cyclones Lose, 7-4, at Franklin Mountains Field
|
Charleston Panthers starter Steve Henderson was in fine form against the Coney Island Cyclones at Franklin Mountains Field, leading his team to a 7-4 win. Henderson, the winner, moves to 1-5. He threw 5.2 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 5 and giving up no walks. The Cyclones, now 51-67, have lost 4 straight.
The Panthers got a big at-bat from third baseman Hung-k'uei Hsiao. For the game, Hsiao was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Charleston a 3-0 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Hsiao. "And not try to do too much."
