Victory Pushes Dancin' Outlaws Record to 66-50
|
The Dancin' Outlaws had to overcome a good performance from Palm Beach pitcher Aubrey Williamsen to claim a 6-2 win at Penlee Park. Williamsen went 6.1 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Rickey Turner notched his 2nd save in 3 chances. The 5th-place Bums have lost 5 straight games.
The Dancin' Outlaws got a big at-bat from center fielder Bill Corrales. For the game, Corrales went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave West Virginia a 3-2 lead.
Corrales called the win "a collective effort."
