Victory Pushes Jedi Knights Record to 65-54
The New Orleans Jedi Knights topped the San Angelo Mustangs, 5-3, in Lyman Bostock League action at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. The player of the game was New Orleans pitcher and Phoenix, Arizona native Jonathan Pickard. Rich Owen earned his 23rd save in 27 chances. The Jedi Knights bumped their record to 65-54 with this latest triumph.

The Jedi Knights got a big at-bat from center fielder Mark Raffaelli. For the game, Raffaelli was 1-3 with a hit by pitch. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 38th hit of the season gave New Orleans a 3-2 lead.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Pickard told the New Orleans Daily News.
