Victory Over Frosties Takes Brisbane to 79-41
|
Brisbane right-hander Danny Posada was sensational in shutting out the Barrow Frosties, 8-0. Posada, the winner, moves to 3-0. He threw 5.1 innings of 2-hit ball, while fanning 8 and giving up 1 walk. Graham Bennett converted his 2nd save in 2 tries.
Matt Rank, who is tied for 3rd in the AHL in RBI with 67, chipped in for Brisbane with a 2-run home run in the top of the first. For the game, the center fielder had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 2 runs scored, and 2 RBI.
"Not too many highlights on our side," said losing manager Evan Warner.
Brisbane leads the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division by 11½ games.
