Frosties Stay Hot With 4-1 Win
|
The Barrow Frosties got a strong performance from pitcher Craig Collier, who stymied the Palm Beach offense en route to a 4-1 win at Envoys Ballpark. Collier got the win, improving to 2-0. He allowed 3 hits and walked 2 over 5.1 innings. Collier allowed no earned runs. Marco Cruz was credited with the save. He has now successfully converted 5 of 5 save opportunities.
The Frosties got a big at-bat from third baseman Hidekazu Kaneshiro. For the game, Kaneshiro was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 10th home run of the season gave Barrow a 2-0 lead.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Barrow manager Evan Warner.
The winning continues for Barrow, with the latest making it 9 straight.
