The Nichols Gnats defeated the Boise Bloodhounds, 14-8, in Lyman Bostock League action at The Pond, with Nichols designated hitter Nate Shrader named player of the game. The winner was Nichols reliever Jose Pimentel, now 2-1. The loser was Jordan Garner. Even with the win, the Gnats have a dismal 40-75 record.

Shrader had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the sixth inning, when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Gnats went on to win.

"This game had a little bit of everything," said Shrader.
