A nice crowd turned out to see the Havana Stogies and Columbus Aces clash at Central Park Downtown Stadium.

With catcher Arturo Velásquez leading the charge, the Havana Stogies defeated the Columbus Aces, 9-4, at Central Park Downtown Stadium. Velásquez, who is a three-time All-Star, hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. The first-place Stogies have won 4 in a row.

Early in the game, Velásquez had a 2-run home run for Havana. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Stogies on top, 3-1.

In postgame comments to the Havana Times, Velásquez said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
