Saints Prevail, 4-2, Over Kingwood
|
St. Paul Saints starter Ruben Fernandez was definitely locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Kingwood Knights, 4-2. John Benefield earned his 25th save in 29 chances. The Saints bumped their record to 59-54 with this latest triumph.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the sixth, with the game tied, Marc Pederson was at the plate when St. Paul scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Saints to go in front, 3-2.
"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," Fernandez said.
