Dancin' Outlaws Fall Short, 3-2, at Brisbane
|
The West Virginia Dancin' Outlaws got a superb performance from pitcher Robert Escobedo, but the Brisbane Bush Wackers still won the game, 3-2. Escobedo was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 6 innings allowing 3 runs. Brisbane reliever Yeong-sam Yi was credited with the win, to go to 1-1. Robert Escobedo took the loss for West Virginia. Brisbane leads the Donnie Moore League Dusty Baker Division by 12 games.
Matt Rank, who is tied for 8th in the AHL in triples with 4, helped out the Brisbane cause in the bottom of the first inning with a 2-run double. For the game, the center fielder went 2 for 4 with a double, while adding 2 RBI.
Rank said the team appreciates the support from the fans. "I'm glad we could reward them with a good win," he said after the game.
