Pelicans Topple Road Warriors with Late Rally

The St. Petersburg Pelicans finished things off in style today at Billy Mathews Field.
Westside center fielder Tom Coleman had a good game, even if his team did not. The Road Warriors dropped a 6-5 decision to St. Petersburg at Billy Mathews Field. Coleman was 3-3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. St. Petersburg reliever Jaiden Harris picked up the win, upping his record to 1-2. António Aguilar was saddled with the loss.
Dan Stoner was the walk-off hero for St. Petersburg. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Pelicans designated hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Stoner. "And not try to do too much."
St. Petersburg has 3 straight wins, Westside 3 straight losses.
