Angel Apodaca did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Brisbane Bush Wackers from losing, 6-4, to the Tree City Black Squirrels at The Nut House. Apodaca went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2. The Black Squirrels bumped their record to 57-52 with this latest triumph.
Travis Hickey, who is tied for 10th in the AHL in doubles with 18, aided the Tree City cause with a solo home run in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the second baseman was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 runs.
"It was a solid team effort," said Hickey after the game.
