Panthers Walk Off with Win
The Charleston Panthers topped the Winfield Warriors, 6-5, in Lyman Bostock League action at Franklin Mountains Field. The player of the game was Charleston catcher Raul Padilla. Charleston reliever David Stafford was the winner. His record is now 2-1. Emilio Peres took the loss. With the win over Winfield, the Panthers improved to 50-60.

The Panthers got a big at-bat from shortstop Zach Davis. For the game, Davis went 1-1. In the bottom of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 1st hit of the season gave Charleston a 6-5 lead.

"It's good to win," Padilla told the Charleston Gazette. "I like to have fun doing it."
