Mustangs Topple Cyclones with Late Rally
The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium today.

The San Angelo Mustangs beat the Coney Island Cyclones, 8-7, at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. The win was largely due to the efforts of third baseman Kazuaki Kishi, who captured player of the game honors. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. The winner was San Angelo reliever Jim Padjen, now 3-3. The loser was Steve Misiak.

The Mustangs were down to their last out in the bottom of the ninth when first baseman Boyd Adler turned a 0-1 cutter from Steve Misiak into a 2-run home run. The walk-off home run sent a roar through the crowd and gave San Angelo a thrilling 8-7 win.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Adler told reporters after the game.

The Mustangs bumped their record to 62-47 with this latest triumph.
